TEXT: Ps 103:1-14; 110: 1-5; Heb 13:15.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul: And all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

“He hath not dealt with us after our sins; Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, So great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, So far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, So the LORD pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.

“Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: Bless the LORD, O my soul.”

(Psalm 103:1‭-‬5‭, ‬10‭-‬14, 22).

NOTE: Gratitude is a great debt every creature owes the Creator God!

“Know ye that the LORD he is God: It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”

(Psalm 100:3‭-‬4)

We return Blessedness unto the Lord through praises and thanksgiving, after he has done great and marvelous things for us far beyond our merits! Not good to neglect and so soon forget; like many do; all the wonderful works of God towards us in various areas, including Life itself, Forgiveness of sins and healings, Deliverances from destructions, Divine Provisions, etc; as narratived in this Psalm.

Ingratitude is a curse. It blinds the soul with greed; murmurings and depression. It leaves the soul dry and deprived of divine inspiration, faith and true joy!

Sincere gratitude and Praises open the door into God’s greater mercies and Favour.

In particular, at the beginning and the ending of each Day, Week, Month, and Year, we should sit back and think deeply on all the goodness of the Lord over the period of time, and sincerely offer unto him praises and thanksgiving worthy of his greatness!

Pray sincerely;

“O Lord I praise you for making me a human being! Not an animal or something else! But in your own image! O Lord I deeply appreciate!”

Pray with the various striking points from the verses of the Ps 103:1-14; over your Life, Family, the Church, the Lost, New Converts, the Nation, etc.

May the Lord grant you higher graces and favours through praises, in the mighty name of Jesus! Amen.

–, Chris O Abraham.
