SUNDAY MESSAGE:

DATE: 18/12/22.

TOPIC: CALLED UNTO RULERSHIP AND DOMINION!

TEXT: Ps 110:1-7

KEY VERSE: “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.”

(Psalm 110:1‭-‬2).

INTRO:

Every call of God is a translation from nothingness to something else! When God calls a person or a people, it is with the divine purpose of promotion and upliftment: from darkness to light, from sin and guilt to salvation and justification, from weakness to strength, causes to blessings, poverty to prosperity, hopelessness to blessed assurance of eternal glory. Our divine call in Christ is that we might reign in life by him! “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Rom 5:17).

This Psalm of David according to our text is a declaration of the reality that takes place when one answers God’s call and abides by The Divine instructions to sit at the right

hand of God until he makes his enemies his footstool (v1).

God’s call in your life is with the blessed assurance that he will make your enemies become your footstool. That he will subdue all satanic elements in your life and make them become your servant; whoever they are, and whatever they are; visible or invisible, evil men or evil spirits, circumstances or sicknesses; whatever they are; God will subdue them all under your feet and make you have dominion over them all! They will all become issues of testimonies to the glory of God!

The very important thing the Lord wants you to do is to sit at his right hand, UNTIL he has put all these enemies one by one under your feet. Sit as an obedient sheep at his right hand, not as a goat at the left side (Mtt 25:33).

Sitting at his right hand means like David, dwelling in the house of the Lord and delighting yourself in the services of the Lord. Be a home-son in the house of the Lord and not a stranger who visits and goes. The son, Jesus said, abides in the house forever! (Jn 8:34-36).

David acted as a home-son in the house of the Lord and owned him as his Good Shepherd. This resulted in God lifting up his head above all his enemies round about! (Ps 27:3-7; 23:1-6).

Constantly dwelling in the house of the Lord and abiding by the divine principles of truth in righteousness brings one’s life and destiny to the limelight of God’s grace and favour; lifting him out of the pit of misery to the mountain top of divine authority and Dominion over his enemies and adverse circumstances!

Abraham’s example remains a reference point of God’s calling and the divine blessings and upliftment. He inherited the fullness of God’s blessings both temporary and eternal; “blessings of the life that now is and of that which is to come”, according to (1Tim 4:8). God blessed the Abraham in all things, according to His promise; and made him a “possessor of heaven and earth”! (Gen 24:1,34-36; 14:19).

Look unto Abraham as an example of God’s faithfulness to everyone that shows faithfulness in answering his call(Isa 51:1-2).

A divine translation:

Called from weakness to strength; raised from darkness to light; from poverty to prosperity; from slavery to lordship. Every believer iny Christ is called from shame to glory; and from glory to glory. We are called as weak and foolish things of the Earth, but raised to show forth the glory of God, and to exercise Dominion and rulership over the forces of wickedness and of the kingdom of darkness! (1Cor 1:26-31).

Know who you are and the great authority that is bestowed upon you by Christ Jesus; that you might reign and rule on Earth as a priest and a king unto the Lord. Be confident and courageous! Stand strong and exercise authority over adverse circumstances; to bind and to lose; to cast out devils, heal the sick, change adverse situations, claim and declare the blessings and glory of the Lord upon your life and upon your environment; “Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies! in the name of Jesus! The ever victorious! Amen!

— Chris O Abraham.

PRAYER: Pray earnestly

1, Thank you Lord for calling me into your saving grace and eternal glory in Christ Jesus!

2, Thank you Lord for your unfailing promises of upliftment to power and Dominion over my enemies and oppressors visible and invisible, in the name of Jesus!

3, I promise to constantly sit at thy right hand in thy house and be faithfully committed to thy services, in the name of Jesus.

4, I exercised divine authority and dominion over all the forces of evil That militate against my life and progress within and without; I subdue them under my feet forever in the name of Jesus! Amen.
