VICTORY DEVOTIONAL PRAYER GUIDE.

DATE: 26/11/22

TOPIC: “SEEKING GOD, NEVER IN VAIN” (PT 3).

TEXT: Isa 45:19; 1Chro 28:9-10; 2Chro 12:13-14.

KEY VERSE:

“And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.”

(1 Chronicles 28:9‭-‬10).

NOTE:

David’s valedictory instructions to Solomon towards seeking the Lord with an honest heart, is a pointer to the divine secret of success in whatever purpose and assignment God has for us in life. Seeking the Lord constantly in daily prayers guarantees divine assistance for success; while an attitude of prayerlessness would lead to forsaking the Lord, and results in being cast off by him!(v.9).

King Rehoboam, became a failure and a disappointment. He became evil, as a result of his failure to seek the Lord.

“So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother’s name was Naamah an Ammonitess. And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.”

(2 Chronicles 12:13‭-‬14).

Prayerlessness is a destiny destroyer! Part of the great dividends of a life of prayer is to keep the soul from divination into evil and damnable errors! Seeking the Lord continually is the sure way to the victorious Christian life and destiny! Seeking the Lord is Never in vain!

PRAYER:

1). Ask God for the earnest spirit of consistency in seeking and knowing him.

2). Pray God to empower you with the enabling grace etc, for the accomplishment of his divine project for through your life.

3). Pray, cancelling the Rehoboam’s attitude of negligence to prayers, which results in becoming evil and a failure to God!

4). Pray for leaders in sensitive positions of the Family, Church, Nation, etc; that the Lord may stir their hearts to seeking God in earnest prayers!

The Lord hear and grants speedy and surprising answers to your earnest prayers, in the mighty name of Jesus! Amen.
