VICTORY DEVOTIONAL PRAYER GUIDE.
DATE: 24/11/22
TOPIC: SEEKING THE LORD, NEVER IN VAIN!
TEXT: Isa 45:15-19; Amos 5:4-8; 1Chro 16:11.
KEY VERSES:
“I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.”
(saiah 45:19)
“For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live: but seek not Beth-el, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beer-sheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Beth-el shall come to nought. Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Beth-el.”
(Amos 5:4- 6).
“Seek the LORD and his strength, Seek his face continually.”
(1 Chronicles 16:11).
NOTE:
The spirit of prayerlessness and nonchalancy in taking time to seek God is born from a devilish mindset that suggests hopelessness in prayer and waiting on God. It sees much prayer as a waist of time and energy. This eventually results in such a soul resorting to idolatry and demonism for help in moments of pressures and fears of uncertainties and insecurities. Such was the case with Israel in their state of backsliding and faithlessness in the Lord Jehovah; according to our texts in Isa 45:15-19; and, Amos 5:8.
Consider also the tragic case of king Saul (1 Sam.28:3-8). See also, 1Chr 10:13-14. It’s quite tragic to turn away from seeking the Lord, into vanities of spiritism, as a result of doubts and prayerlessness!
Thus the Lord through his servants the prophets Isaiah and Amos, strongly warned against the vanities and long-ranged repercussions of idolatry in all forms and shapes! But emphatically instructs that the people should rather, earnestly Seek God, so as to live; “For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live: but seek not Beth-el, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beer-sheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Beth-el shall come to nought. Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Beth-el.”
(Amos 5:4-6).
“Seek the LORD and his strength, Seek his face continually.”
“1Chronicles 16:11).
The Lord then assures that you never seek Him in vain: “I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain”(Isa 45:19). He does far beyond all we can ask or think! (Eph 3:20-21).
PRAYER:
(1) Pray earnestly against every spirit of doubt and confusions of mind as touching the realities of God answering your prayers! Bind and cast out such demonic spirits and imaginations, with all their damnable suggestions of idolatry etc, in the name of Jesus!
(2) Pray, declaring your strong convictions of faith in the Lord as a prayer answering God: able to do all things and to handle all issues about YOUR LIFE. (3) Pray on issues about your Life, Family, Church, Nation, New Converts, etc.
This season, the Lord will prove to you and to observers, that you do not seek him in vain, in the mighty name of Jesus! Your Miracle Week is here!
So, you claim and possess your miracle(s), in the name of Jesus! You are highly blessed! Amen.
