TOPIC: SOWERS IN TEARS; REAPERS IN JOY!
TEXT: Read, Ps 256:1-6; 30:5; 1Sam 1:5-9, 26-27.
“They that sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
There’s indeed a great power in tearful prayers, when they come from sincere and honest heart seeking audience with God; either for forgiveness of sin, help, or, intervention in critical condition; under pressures and misery from hateful adversaries; as in the case of Hannah in our Bible text.
A broken and contrite heart God does not despise!(Ps 51:17).
Tearful hearts (in earnest prayers), produce joyful spirits as the outcome results. Weepers unto God in troubles, become the longest and most joyful celebrants in the end: When the Lord turns away the captivity of Zion, like a dream!(Ps 126:1).
N,B: Hannah was “Provoked Sore!”, V6; And, she prayed and, “Wept Sore”!V10. Then her testimonies are celebrations became super and everlasting! (vs 26-28).
Indeed, Sowers in tears are the Reapers in joy! God never jokes with your tearful prayers! Great testimonies of joy are on the way! Amen.
1), O Lord, please grant to my soul deep concentration in prayer!, in the name of Jesus.
2), O Lord God of mercy and compassion, hear and answer my prayers, in the name of Jesus!
3), O Lord, turn my tears into joy; and my pain into your praises, in the name of Jesus.
4), Pray for specific things of concern, in Your Life, Family, the Church, the Nation, New Converts, etc
And may the Lord fulfill all your petitions to his glory, in the mighty name of Jesus! Amen.
